Bathroom Renovations

Provided all materials, fittings and fixtures are able to be sourced in a timely manner, a bathroom renovation can be completed in a matter of weeks. On average, we can complete a bathroom from start to finish in approximately 3 weeks.

You are welcome to choose all the fittings and fixtures for your bathroom. We can refer you to local businesses who can assist you with choosing your fittings, fixtures and tiles, or if you would prefer that we take on this decision making for you, we would be more than happy to.

We can assist you to choose the right colour, material and shape of your tiles to best suit your space or if you already know exactly what you want, we can work with our locally owned and run suppliers to source them for you. We will also discuss the pattern in which you want your tiles laid.

Like anything, the cost of a renovation can vary. It depends on a number of aspects including how many (if any) structural changes are required, the size of the bathroom, the quality of the fittings and fixtures you choose and the accessibility of the bathroom (whether you are in a home or apartment). We offer free quotes for bathroom renovations so be sure to call us to discuss your individual needs.

At Evans Plumbing we manage your bathroom renovation from start to finish. We have a team of qualified and licensed tradies to make sure each element is professionally completed. Our team consists of plumbers, tilers, plasterers, electricians, painters, cabinet makers and shower screen installers. You can be confident that with Evans Plumbing you are getting the complete package.

Before starting any work on your bathroom renovation, we will take the time to sit down with you and put together a comprehensive plan. We want to make sure that the bathroom functions properly as well as looks amazing!

Key practical elements we will discuss with you to ensure we get right include:

  • The layout of the bathroom – where to position the vanity, shower, bath and toilet so that it functions as a whole.
  • Ventilation – is there a window that opens or should a fan be installed?
  • Lighting –is there adequate light especially over your vanity for makeup application and grooming?
  • Where the toilet roll sits in proximity to the toilet. No one wants to have to reach too far!
  • Positioning of the towel rails and/or hooks. How far do you have to reach to grab a towel as you step out of the shower?
  • Heated towel rails – Do you want your towels to dry quicker and stay warm?
  • Positioning of the tap mixer in the shower so that you don’t have to jump out of the way when you turn your shower on, yet not hop out of your warm shower to adjust the water pressure/temperature.
  • Underfloor heating – do you want to keep your feet warm on those cold winter mornings?

Storage – making sure there is space for you to store all of your soaps, cleaners, toilet rolls, cosmetics, toothbrushes etc

When looking to re-tile in a designated wet room such as a bathroom, we recommend that existing tiles be removed in order for appropriate water proofing to be carried out in accordance with Australian standards, and new tiles laid thereafter.

In other areas of the home, such as a laundry, removal of the existing tiles may not be necessary.
